Happy Fairburnin’ Friday! After you get in a workout, it is important to refuel with food within 30 minutes, and this refreshing smoothie does the trick. The best part is that there is a little hint of chocolate for a tasty, yet very healthy, treat.

Blueberry Cacao Smoothie

Ingredients:
-1/4 to 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (start with 1/4 cup and add more if you like a more powerful blueberry flavor)
-1/2 banana, sliced and frozen
-2 tablespoons cacao nibs
-1 scoop plain plant protein
-1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
-Ice

Optional Toppings:
-Blueberries
-Pinch of cacao nibs
-Pinch of cinnamon

Directions:
Pour almond milk into a blender and then toss in the rest of the ingredients. Pulse a few times, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed. Blend until smooth, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
