The holiday season is well underway, which means baked goods are everywhere! It’s okay to enjoy some of these treats (remember, you have healthier ones in your nutrition plan too), but to help you stay motivated with your health and fitness goals, we want you to participate in the Fairburn Mile Challenge!

What is the Fairburn Mile Challenge?
It’s easy. Simply complete 1 mile of something – walking, running, jogging, biking, swimming, walking up and down the stairs, or maybe even doing the wheel barrel walk with a partner like in the photo above (okay you don’t have to do that one) – it doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you do something every single day through the end of December.


Now, if you happen to go for a 3 mile run on one day, that can count towards your mile challenge, or you can still get in a bonus mile – it’s up to you. You can also break up the mile throughout the day. For example, you can take the stairs all day instead of elevators to help give you your mile.

No matter what you do, don’t over think it – just have fun with it and keep moving every single day!

And to help you stay accountable for getting in your miles, check in with us on social media with the hashtags #fairburnitoff and #FIOmilechallenge. Snap a pic of the stairs you took, a post run selfie, a busy mall that you walked around holiday shopping, etc.
