Who says Valentine’s Day treats have to be unhealthy?? We’re sharing some healthy – but still indulgent – Valentine’s Day treats that you can enjoy with your loved one, a friend, or your fur baby!

Chocolate Cherry Pie Smoothie

-1 cup fresh or frozen sweet cherries, pitted
-1/2 frozen banana, sliced
-1/4 cup vanilla or chocolate almond milk, plus more if needed
-1/2 tbsp. cacao powder
-1 tsp. vanilla extract
-1/4 tsp. almond extract
-1 scoop plain plant protein
-5 ice cubes (if using fresh cherries)
-Cacao nibs for topping, optional

Place all ingredients, except for the cacao nibs in a blender. Pulse and blend until smooth. Serve as a smoothie or smoothie bowl, and top with cacao nibs.


All you need here is some chopped up fresh fruit of choice, and melted dark chocolate. There are vegan chocolate bars and chips that you can find at the grocery store; however, most dark chocolate, especially if it is at least 70% cacao, should be dairy free too! Just make sure to double check the ingredients. Once you have your chocolate, just melt it and enjoy!
