Summer may be coming, but sadly, rainy days will still happen. The yogi in me should say that rainy days are beautiful because they help things grow, nourish our mother earth, and help end droughts (okay, all of those things are great and essential), but let’s be real, rainy days can be tough, demotivating, and cause quite a case of cabin fever! However, as tempting as it may be to throw in the towel on a rainy day, we’re here to help.
Below we share our top ways to still get up and moving without having to step outside on a rainy day! I also learned something new about David..
Featured from the video:
1. Stair HIIT Routine here.
2. Most Fairburn it Off workouts can be done from home (with or without weights). Check out the various workouts here.
3. David loves to wake up and get in something quick if he is feeling cabin feverish or just in a rush. When we do this, we’ll just do a few moves for 5-10 minutes. For example, we may do 20 jumping jacks, 10 push-ups, 20 mountain climbers, and repeat those moves a few times. Just do what you are in the mood for and try to move your entire body versus focusing on one particular muscle or area.
4. Cleaning! Although cleaning may not be something everyone loves, it can actually be very cathartic and help you feel motivated and ready to accomplish other tasks.
5. Meal prep. If you have already meal prepped, take the time to try some new recipes and move around in the kitchen. Use your meal prep guides and recipes from your nutrition plan here to help you get started.
Use these tips to help you stay on track so that when the sunny days return, you feel motivated and can get outside and enjoy some vitamin D!
