Today we are bringing you a new smoothie recipe that will leave you feeling refreshed, and you can tell your kiddos that even the Grinch himself drinks this to help keep his heart full and strong!

The Grinch’s Clean & Green Colada Smoothie

-1/2 of a sliced frozen banana (save other half in freezer for a future smoothie)
-5 pieces of frozen pineapple chunks
-1 tbsp. chia seeds
-Splash of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar (optional)
-Coconut water, plain water, or unsweetened almond milk

Toss the banana, pineapple, chia seeds, and lemon juice or apple cider vinegar into a blender. Start with a 1/2 cup of liquid (we usually use water, but like doing coconut water or almond milk depending on our mood) and blend. Add more liquid if needed to reach desired consistency, and blend until smooth.

If you want a smoothie bowl, make sure to keep your smoothie on the thicker side, and top off with a drizzle of honey and toasted coconut chips. Unsweetened coconut flakes, a handful of walnuts, a sprinkle of chia seeds, and a few pieces of fresh pineapple and/or banana are also great toppers. Choose your favorites!
