Happy Fairburnin’ Friday!

Today, we are talking about Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), and why we use it every day!


When it comes to ACV, you either love or hate the taste, but no matter your taste buds feelings, the benefits you just have to love! Here is why adding ACV to your daily diet is so beneficial:

🔥It improves digestion by aiding in the growth of healthy bacteria
🔥It can aid in weight loss
🔥It can help to regulate blood sugar
🔥It helps detox your body
🔥It supports heart health

Since apple cider vinegar is not something you should consume on it’s own (it can harm your tooth enamel and esophagus due to its high acidity), you should always dilute and/or mix it with something else. Thankfully, our Fairburn it Off Plans provide different options for consuming an ACV drink that is a part of your morning Fairburn Fuel. However, here is a very basic recipe:

-1 to 2 tablespoons ACV
-6 to 8oz. of water

Mix all ingredients together and drink first thing in the morning or with breakfast!

ACV is not just for drinking either! Here are some other ways that we love to incorporate ACV into our meals and daily lives:

🔥Add a tablespoon to salad dressings (many FIO recipes already include this, including a free one here)
🔥Mix 1 part ACV with 3 parts water and condition hair after shampooing (you can do a 50/50 split too, but we recommend starting with less).  This will leave you with shiny and healthy hair and can help to reduce dandruff. Only do this once a week or bi-weekly.
🔥Relieve a sore throat! Mix ACV with warm water and gargle
🔥Skin irritations and warts.  You can dab ACV directly onto the infected area, or soak in a mixture of ACV and water.  Try a small amount first to make sure your skin is not sensitive to the straight ACV.
