We’re in the dog days of summer and hope you are soaking up every bit of it! And just because we are in the time of year with cookouts and extra summer treats, does not mean that your health has to suffer. You can make cookout items and cookies, and even ice cream, healthy! You want to eat foods that make you feel good (and that are of course tasty)! Remember, your nutrition plan has recipes that keep all of this in mind, including your latest Summer Meal & Fitness Plan, so now is a good time to open that bad boy back up and try a new recipe! We also have some new and exciting posts coming this week, so stay tuned!
Cardio & Core
Challenge: Set a new physical challenge for yourself this week. For example, have you ever done a pull-up? How about a barbell squat? It does not matter what it is, but challenge yourself to perform just 1 rep of something you have never done before (if it is something with weight, please make sure someone is there to spot you – safety first)!
Complete the Burn Out HIIT routine from your nutrition plan.
You can also opt to complete this Circuit Workout here!
Challenge: Take a moment to write out one way that you can bring healthy living into your life even more. Maybe it’s adding an additional healthy meal per week, or maybe it’s going out on a date night once a week. No matter what you do, write it down and start this week!
Complete the stair workout below, or opt for the stair routine in your nutrition plan! Make sure to stretch afterward.
Challenge: Netflix and Chill. Or rent from the library and chill 😉
Head out for 20 minutes of your choice cardio this morning, and then complete this Strong Arms Workout.
Challenge: Sip on some Kombucha for #thirstythursday! In case you missed it, we shared a post on what Kombucha is and why we love it here.
Power Yoga & Core
Complete your new Power Yoga Flow that works your full body and gives your core a little extra burn!
Challenge: Whip up a dessert from your nutrition plan!
Active Rest & Stretch
Head out for a walk today or do some gentle yoga. Make sure you take at least 15 minutes to stretch today.
Challenge: Relax in, or head out tonight. No matter what – have fun!
Head out and run for at least 30 minutes, or 3-4 miles.
Crossing the finish line of a race we ran in honor of our late cat, Jovie, and for our local animal shelter.
Challenge: Have you thought about doing a road race before? Or maybe you’ve already done one and want to continue to improve? Then check our road race trainings here, and consider signing up for an actual race so that you have an end goal in sight!
Have a Burnin’ Week!
